Ghana’s international relations dimension seeks to strengthen the country’s engagement with the global community to advance national development priorities, promote peace and security, enhance trade and investment opportunities, and project Ghana’s image as a responsible and active member of the international community. This dimension ensures that Ghana’s foreign policy and external engagements contribute directly to achieving national development goals, the African Union’s Agenda 2063, and the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (SDGs).

- Strengthening Bilateral and Multilateral Relations – Deepen diplomatic ties with countries and regional blocs to promote mutual benefits in trade, investment, education, culture, and technology exchange.
- Active Participation in International Organisations – Enhance Ghana’s role and influence within the United Nations, African Union, ECOWAS, Commonwealth, and other global platforms.
- Economic Diplomacy – Expand market access for Ghanaian goods and services, attract foreign direct investment, and promote economic partnerships that advance industrialisation and job creation.
- Peacekeeping and Conflict Prevention – Maintain Ghana’s leadership in international peacekeeping missions and promote global peace and security.
- Climate Diplomacy and Environmental Cooperation – Advocate for climate action, access to climate finance, and technology transfer in line with Ghana’s environmental sustainability agenda.
