National Development Planning Commission
Mr. Eugene Tapegnuu is the Chief Manager, Administration. He joined the Commission in September, 2019. He holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Ghana as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Management) degree from the University of Cape Coast. He has over twenty-one (21) years of work experience in project and public service management.
Previously, he worked as Administrative Manager and subsequently Human Resource Manager of the Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (COTVET). Other places he worked as Head of Administration and Human Resource include Private Hospitals and Maternity Homes Board, Council for Law Reporting, Centre for Scientific Research into Plant Medicine, Forest Stewardship Council – African Regional Office (FSC Africa) and World Vision Ghana. He also lectured briefly at the School of Business, University of Cape Coast.
As Chief Manager, Administration, Mr. Tapegnuu oversees the Information Technology, Procurement, Transport, Stores, Registry and Estate Units of the Commission. His current duties include preparation, implementation and coordination of work programmes and schedules of the Administration department; provision of administrative support services to other divisions of the Commission; overseeing the organization of meetings, workshops and seminars of the Commission; and preparation of periodic reports on all activities, projects and issues relating to Administration.
He has excellent managerial, leadership, inter-personal and communication skills. He speaks and write English fluently and has a fair knowledge of French (oral and written). He is also a team player and works well with all manner of people. His areas of interest include institutional management, project management, strategic planning and performance management. He is result-oriented, hard-working and very resourceful.
