Assistant Controller and Accountant General
Mrs. Jennifer Tufuor is a seasoned Public Financial Management (PFM) expert with over fifteen (15) years of experience in the Public Service. She is a staff member of the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD), an Assistant Controller and Accountant General and is currently on posting as Head of the Accounts Office at the Commission.
She brings to her role extensive practical expertise in implementing effective public financial management systems, with competencies spanning procurement, audit, human resource management, general administration, and policy development.
At CAGD, Mrs.Tufuor has served in key capacities, including the National Payroll Directorate and as a Supervisor at the National Accounts Directorate. She also served as Chairman of the CAGD Staff Welfare Scheme, where she led significant operational transformation through the introduction of innovative technology and the implementation of policies that enhanced the scheme’s growth and sustainability.
Her experience further includes serving as Financial Controller at the Office of the Attorney-General and Ministry of Justice (OAGMOJ), a Finance and Administration Member of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), and an Audit Committee Member for OAGMOJ.
Mrs. Tufuor is well trained in corporate governance, leadership, strategic management, coordination, and institutional integration. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG), and serves on the Management Committee of the Corporate Governance Faculty of ICAG.
She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
