Mr. Jonathan Kwasi Azasoo holds MSC in Economics with Statistics and Certificate in Development Planning.  I have a considerable experience in Policy formulation, Budgeting, Development Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation and Financial Management. I am an expert in Decentralization and Local Governance and very familiar with Decentralised Planning System. I have been working in the Civil and Public Sector for twenty-nine (29) years after post graduate degree in 1992. I worked as Budget Analyst and Planning Officer for eleven (11) years within the Local Government system and for eighteen (18) years with the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC).

I am currently the technical advisor at the National Development Planning Commission. My current responsibilities at NDPC include but not limited to the following; coordination of the preparation of Planning Guidelines and NDPC’s inputs into the Budget Guidelines of Ministry of Finance, support the preparation and finalization of National Plans, assist the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies and Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the preparation of their Medium Term Development Plans, assist Regional Coordinating Councils to harmonize District Development Plans periodically, assist to build the capacity of Regional Planning Coordinating Units and District Planning Coordinating Units.
