Ms. Afia Appiah is a Development Expert with key technical skills in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, Gender Analysis and Integration, Social Development Programme Design and Implementation, Small and Large-Scale Research Programmes Design. Her experience in Social Development has been honed over the last 20 years working with the private and public sector across Africa in the Agricultural and Enterprise Development Sectors. This experience has allowed her to actively participate in national level policy design and development as well as provide programme support and advisory services. She is a good Communicator and has an excellent record in meeting deadlines and producing work deliverables.
Ms. Appiah holds a Masters in International Health and Development from the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, Tulane University, New Orleans, LA, Masters of Arts in International Relations from Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University Syracuse NY and a Bachelor of Science, Agricultural Science Degree from the University of Ghana, Legon. Further training includes Certificate in Trade and Gender Linkages from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, Certificate in Local Government Studies form Wageningen University and a Certificate in Government Contract Law from USDA Graduate School Washington, DC.
