Professor Bill Buenar Puplampu is an Academic and Practising Chartered Psychologist (British Psychological Society) with specialization in Occupational Psychology and Organizational Behaviour. He started his academic career in the UK where from 1990 to 1998 and 2002 to 2003, he lectured at the University of East London and the University of Westminister. He later joined the University of Ghana and was Head of Department of Organization and HRM at the University of Ghana Business School.

Professor Bill served as Independent Director on the board of Merchant Bank Ghana Limited, Chaired the HR Committee of the board and was a member of the Audit committee. He was appointed Dean of the Central Business School (Central University) in 2010, Pro Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs in 2015 and Vice Chancellor in 2017 and a selected Fellow of the Ghana Academy of Art and Sciences in 2018.
