Profile

Dr. Kwadjo Adjei Tutu is an Economist by profession. He is an Independent Consultant with over 22 years of experience in teaching and research for various national and international organizations. Prior to his appointment to serve on the National Development Planning Commission Board, he was a part-time Senior Lecturer at the Economics Department, University of Ghana. He was also a part-time Senior Economist at the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) between 2010 and 2011. Dr. Kwadjo Adjei Tutu was appointed Acting Chief of the Environment and Sustainable Development section (ESD) of the Food Security and Sustainable Development Division (FSSDD) between April 2009 and June 2009. He also served as the Environment and Development Officer of ESD between 2000 and 2009.

He is an experienced Lecturer and has worked as a senior and visiting lecturer at the Department of Economics, University of Ghana and African Economic Research Consortium. He has also conducted and held several research and consultancy services for organizations such as World Bank UNDP, ILO, AERC, EPA, ODA among others.

Dr. Kwadjo Adjei Tutu holds a Ph.D. in Economics and an MA in Economics and Natural Resource Economics from Cornell University, Ithaca, USA. He is also a holder of MSc and BSc degrees in Economics from the University of Ghana. He has several papers published to his credit that focus on Sustainable Development, Environmental Economics and Climate Change. He is a member of several associations such as the World Association of Economists of Self-Management and the Network for Environment and Sustainable Development for Africa (NESDA).
