Dr. Yaw Ansu has excellent technical training in economics combined with a deep understanding of political economy and policy making, wide international exposure to high-level policy environments, and experience in working and interacting with senior policy makers including at the high Ministerial and Presidential levels. He has been a chief economist at the African Centre for Economic Transformation (ACET) since April 2010. He has over 26 years (1984-2010) work experience in the World Bank. For more than ten of those years, he was in demanding management positions such as Country Director (Nigeria, Zambia and Zimbabwe), Director for Economic Policy in the World Bank’s Economics Network and head of the Sector Board for World Bank Economics and African Sector Director for Human Development.
