Prof. Samuel Kwabena Annim is a professor at the Department of Applied Economics, University of Cape Coast, and the Government Statistician (Ghana Statistical Service, Accra). He obtained a PhD in Economics from the University of Manchester, School of Social Sciences, United Kingdom, and Master of Philosophy in Economics from the University of Ghana, Legon. He has a B. A. (Hons) in Economics from the University of Cape Coast. He was born on the 9th of December 1975.
Prof. Annim has held several positions including Honorary Research Fellow at the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance, University of Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa; Director at the Directorate of Research, Innovation and Consultancy, University of Cape Coast (2016-2019); and Head, Department of Economics, University of Cape Coast (2015-2016). He was the lead person in the development of the Postdoctoral policy for the university of Cape Coast.
