Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen is currently the Minister for Trade and Industry. He was born on 3 October 1955. Alan Kyerematen holds a law degree LLB from the Ghana Law School Makola Accra. He is a Hubert Humphrey’s Fellow of the School of management at the University of Minnesota USA and has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Ghana, Legon. Was born in Ejisu in the Ashanti Region, he is a Christian married with two children. He has held various Ministerial positions and chaired a lot of boards: he was the President’s representative at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Minister for Trade, Industry, and Presidential special initiatives, Founding Chairman of the Center for Strategic African Initiatives, Accra, Chairman, and Founding partner John Young and Associates and a coordinator for the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (African Trade Policy Centre) Addis Ababa Ethiopia.
